The datafile.jar is included in the zip, if you followed the install instructions it should be loaded by talend. If you still have that problem please send me a mail to tfoldi at starschema . net.
![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Module datafile.jar required By Bob on March 8, 2013
After successfully setting up a connection to SAP, I get a \"Module datafile.jar required\" error on my job (tPLSAPSimpleInput). I tried to download it via Talend modules window but it did not give me anything.
Any idea what is wrong ?
Dear Hans Hack,
This plugin works pretty well without the server side ABAPs, with the same RFC_READ_TABLE which can be found on every SAP system. So your argument is invalid, it is used by many people in production. Regards Tamas ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Mr. By Hans Hack on November 22, 2012
This component needs additional SAP ABAP RFC Functions which has to be bought in addition and has noting to do with this community.
Further this wizard would not work with a subscription based enterprise version!
Hey,
thank you so much for providing us with this useful tool. The only thing is that you might inform us that we need the sapjco3.jar Connector from SAP.
First of all, this version also works with RFC_READ_TABLE with is SAP's default data access program.
Second, the PLSAP does not use *external ABAP* program, instead, it uses a small RFC BAPI (100 lines of code, source included) for data transportation. Also, it has been code reviewed many times. The connector only uses licensed features, approved by SAP. So it does not broke your support contracts.
Don\'t get me wrong but If I understand correctly your web site, your PLSAP provides *external ABAP* routines and these ABAP Routines have not been certified by SAP.
Normally, if somebody delivers external ABAP Routines this has to be certified from SAP if you want continue to get your SAP support in place... ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Mr By Kumarbabu on January 24, 2012
