A team developper will be assigned to the bugtracker issue, will review your patch, apply to the source code, test it (maybe create a test for the automated test) and commit it.

Ecosystem is the place to go (use your forum account there). One criteria for adding your component to TOS is that we own the intellectual property. Another criteria is that we consider it as useful enough (but if it was useful to you, it will surely be useful for someone else).
