What are the differences between Hadoop and Talend. Needed this info to make some technology decisions.
Thanks for quick reply. Actually we want to scale up our project jobs to run in parallel or over distributed systems. Is their any connector for this approach.
What type of connector would you expect within our tools ?
can you let me know if Hadoop API is implemented for talend now.
If yes, which version of Talend is supporting the same.
We're definitely going to add some Hadoop elements to our products in the next months.
Stay tuned !
Does TALEND Team have plans to provide Hadoop Connector.
Apache Hadoop is a Java software framework that supports data-intensive distributed applications under a free license. It enables applications to work with thousands of nodes and petabytes of data. Hadoop was inspired by Google's MapReduce and Google File System (GFS) papers.
Major comapnies such as Google, Yahoo, Amazon, Facebook use Hadopp to manage large amounts of data (See complete list at http://wiki.apache.org/hadoop/PoweredBy
There was some discussion in Google Summer of Code 2008 around this integration but no formal outcame came (http://markmail.org/message/6w7hq5ridshkbkvh )
