v4.0.2 encrypted the connection_user.properties file (see Bug 13083). Previously, on installing a new version of the studio the file could simply be copied from the old version path to the new version to carry across the previous connections. However, v4.0.2 does not recognise the unencrypted connections.

Since we have many connections set up for different workspaces, is there an easy way to import these to v4.0.2 and will we be able to simply copy the file as before when we install future versions of the studio?

Hi Alevy
It is impossible to just simple copy and paste the file to the new installation. I am talking to our developers and check if we could provide you a Java application to format the old one to a new one.

Thanks, shong, but don't bother. We will be upgrading before you can send us anything.

Will we be able to copy and paste the file for upgrading from 4.0.2 to 4.0.3 since both will use encrypted connections?
