EBCDIC

Hi,

As I am new to Talend, I have a silly question.

Please let me know whether the EBCDIC files can be loaded using the Talend Open Studio or it can be loaded only using the Talend Integration Studio.

But, in my scenario, the Talend Open Studio has the tFileInputEBCDIC component. But, there is no option to create the copybook metadata.

In the Talend Open Studio user guide, the description about the tFileInputEBCDIC component is not present.

I found the description about the tFileInputEBCDIC component only in the Talend Integration Suite Studio component document.

How to create the schema for EBCDIC?

Thanks in advance.

Karthikeyan.

Re: EBCDIC

EBCDIC, Extended Bifold Coded Decimal Interchange Code, was developed in 1963 by IBM as an addendum to the earlier Bifold Coded Decimal standard. BCD encodes the 10 digits of the accepted counting arrangement application 4 bifold counters, or bits, area an alone bit can be either a 1 or a 0.

Hi Herinelvin,

Thanks for reply.

But, my query is different from your answer.

Please go thru the query once again.

Thanks.
