Hello again

When I download a Excel File from google docs and try to use it in TOS, all fields where a formula
is the field have the value null. Only after opening the file with Microsoft Excel and saving (without taking
some changes) , the fields have the right value.

How can i handel this? (okay, i could save the file as a csv and everything is fine but a colleague cannot
handel this format -.-)

Hi

Sometimes tFileInputExcel cannot handle Excel formula well.
Please send me an email and attach this file if possible. I need to confirm whether it's a bug.
Or report it on BugTracker directly.

I tested a bit more and i think there is a problem to read the formula after saving through gdocs.
The file have 9KB from gdocs and after opening and saving with microsoft excel 20KB

I find an instereting thing happended in my local machine that even though I open the tableFromGDocs.xls and save it i still cannot get the value in Talend job. I don't know why.

Okay, which programm do you use to save the file?
I use Excel 2007 and it works perfectly after saving.

Due to the problem i think nobody used google doc excel sheets before with talend...

Is http://jira.talendforge.org/browse/TDI/ the right project if i start an issue?

I also open it with Excel 2007.

TDI is the right place to report it.

That is interesting...Started a new Issue.

To solve the problem i download this file as CSV, but for
a other file, with multiple sheets, it doesn't work.
