Installation of Talend on Vista Ultimate

I began by trying to use the Windows installer on   TOS-Win32-V3.0.4  which failed to instal on Vista Ultimate.

Then read this forum and discovered that you do not need to 'instal' Talend but unzip it.

I have downloaded TOS-All-V3.0.4 and attempted to unzip it.

PKZip reported errors but I cannot see where they are reported.  It also stated that it had unzipped lots and failed to unzip zero files.  Exploring the target directory showed no contents.

I then tried Stuffit.  I browsed to the same target directory where Stuffit could see a directory structure (still not visible through Windows Explorer even after a restart) but it failed because of an illegal engine handle.

Please help me

Thank you in advance

Re: Installation of Talend on Vista Ultimate

Hello

PKZip reported errors but I cannot see where they are reported

TOS is not installed completely. Please try to restart TOS again.
The log file locates on workspace\.metadata folder. TOS requires JDK 1.5 or greater.

Re: Installation of Talend on Vista Ultimate

I have also tried the latest 3.1 on windows Vista and I keep getting an error trying to run "env" when I try to check the perl modules. Why on earth is it trying to run env on a windows system ?

GA ?
