Talend with Palo/tPaloOutput - How to create consolidated elements

Hello everybody,

for a few hours I'm trying to write data into a Palo cube now. The connection to Palo is working well and information are stored within the cube, too. One dimension is called "date" and contains the month. You can see the current result in the (second) picture.

Now I want the months to be consolidated to quarters (and later the quaters have to be consolidated to years) so that I can see the values for a month or the sums of a quarter. I managed to do this manually after the Talend Job by using Palo Client of Tensegrity Software as you can see on the other picture.

Now the question: How can I do this consolidation automatically (either in Talend or in Palo)?

I hope that there is a possibilty because consolidated elements are very important to us. Thanks for every help, even small steps!

Best regards
Christian

Re: Talend with Palo/tPaloOutput - How to create consolidated elements

up :-)

Hi, Talend is our ETL and i'm very interested in palo.
We have tested connector and followed the webinar.
unfortunately, I did not find an answer for create consolidated elements.

it is not possible to manually create consolidated elements after each load !
Is there a way to manage this (in talend or palo) ?

thanks

Re: Talend with Palo/tPaloOutput - How to create consolidated elements

Currently the tPaloOutput Component does not support any automatic element creation.
This also includes the automatic creation of consolidation elements.
Until today the only way is to do it afterwards.

I'd prefer tPaloOutputMulti component when working with Palo cubes:
