I'm trying to add a new positional file into my Metadata connections, and cannot do so from anywhere other than the localhost. See attached screen.

Hello
You must select the file from local machine. You can get the file from other server via ftp or scp components first.

Thanks for the reply. Is this always the case? Seems odd there would be a place to enter the server if it was never intended to be used. In fact, the attached image here is from the User Guide (page 141), showing server information could be entered. As I showed earlier in my version of Talend Open Studio, this is grayed out.

I get the ftp option, but am curious. Appreciated.
