Why is tPostgreSQL*Bulk only available in Java?

Tags: [bulk, perl, PostgreSQL]

Hi!

I would like to use tPostgreSQL*Bulk components in the Perl generation language. Is that planned in some future release?

Another question is also if there will be ETL components for PostgreSQL or if you will add a generic set of ETL components which then work assuming that the DB is SQL standard compliant?

Thanks & Regards,
Christian

It's planned (see [Bugtracker, feature 491, fixed] new component tPostgresqlOutputBulk), but not done yet. Monitor this feature request to be notified of any change.

Hi!

I have now implemented PostgresqlBulkExec component for PERL. The component supports streaming bulkload (thanx to DBD:Pg copy command support) and commit counter. Would you like me to upload this component somewhere?
