Sage line 30/100 and EDI/EAI/ETL

Tags: [integration, SAGE]

Hello,
In fact, it is not until I became interested to EAI / ETL and EDI, particularly Talend. But I always confuse the concepts of EAI / ETL and EDI.
Currently, I will start a project integration / synchronization of data (I do not know how to call it). Let me explain, I have 2 systems. The first is sage line 30 or 100 and the other is an Production management assisted by computer ERP and I want to exchange data between the two. In fact, the goal is to import into sage line 30 or 100 data resulting from administration or management of production of the PMAC ERP. This ERP is based on sql server .

The problem:

     * First, it's possible ?!
     * I do not know how to call this project, integration / synchronization / loading so that I can search in the right direction!
     * I do not know what technology I have to use EDI / EAI / ETL (with a preference for open source, espacially talend)?
     * Sage 30 and 100 work with which databases?

I'd enjoy it if someone can answer me to one of my questions and I thank you in advance
