I have already received TIS v3.1.4 from Talend. I was asking for assistance with upgrading the Talend Administration Center (TAC) from v3.1.3 to v3.1.4. I have since opened defect 9418 as it seems there is a problem with the TAC in v3.1.4.
There is no documentation in the TIS Installation Guide that addresses the method by which the TAC is upgraded between versions. I initially assumed this meant that it was not required; this is not the case as the TAC will not interact with any commandLine version other than one that matches its own version. Adding instructions to the Installation Guide that clarify the migration of the TAC would be very helpful.

I'm monitoring the bugtrack you opened and in the mean time, will do my best to clarify the Installation guide part relative to upgrading version, in particular the Administration Center.
New information will be available with the next release.

My issues with the TAC were due to my lack of experience with Tomcat ( we are a WebSphere shop). I think the TIS Installation Guide should contain a section on upgrading the TAC where the user is instructed to
1 - Undeploy the previous version of the TAC from Tomcat.
2 - Shutdown Tomcat and delete its "work" folder.
3 - Delete any TAC remnants from Tomcat webapps folder.
4 - Reinstall the TAC war.
5 - Restart Tomcat.
6 - Flush browser cache.
Most of this is probably obvious to veteran Tomcat users but to a newbie like myself having this information in advance would have saved me hours of frustration.
