Lock/Hide Components

Is there anyway to hide or lock certain components in a job design to keep others from making changes to them?

In the job design panel, right click on the component and you can ativate/desativate the sepicfy component.

if you deactivate, then all deactivated components never get executed. if it series of components, then you can put them in one job (hiding job) and execute them in another job using tRunJob. Thanks.
