XML string to a file
I'm tyring to find the best way to extract rows from a column, where each row is a text string of XML data. I'm trying to extract each row to an XML file and then load it into a new table. Is this possible, or is there a better way to reading the XML data from rows?

When context.Life = "grownup" trigger tMarriage; on component OK iterate tChildren; on subjob OK generate random extract from tBankAccount (tLoop until balance = 0)

Yes, you can use tExtractXMLField component to exract data from a xml row. See a related [Forum, topic 6670] Processing input xml in a talend job
