Re: perl additional component installation

Hello
You need to install the ppm by yourself. See this [Forum, topic 1540] Perl Module installation to learn how to install perl module.

Re: perl additional component installation

I am having the same issue.  I tried to install DBD-Pg using CPAN because it is not available for Windows 7 yet in the repositories.  It asked me to install the mingw which I did.  When it installed the DBD:tongueg it could not find a path to pg_config and bombed.  Now I get this message when I try to refresh my module list in Talend:
An error occurred (Set up gcc environment - 3.4.5 (mingw-vista special r3).

Any help would be appreciated.

Re: perl additional component installation

I am going to try the previous version.  I checked my gcc from the cmd line and it worked perfectly.  Perhaps Talend is having problems reading he path?

Forgot to add version I was using was 4.1.10.  Will be trying 4.1.3.

Re: perl additional component installation

Apparently Active State Perl installs with mingw 3.4.5.  If you update this to 4.5.1 you will get the MinGW issues.  I had to uninstall mingw with ppm and then run a repair with the Active State Perl installer.  This fixed the setup error.
