Hi -
TIS 4.1.2

Trying to install server side, but the Tomcat area is confusing. We have tomcat5 on RedHat in this path: /data/var/lib/tomcat5/webapps.

Instructions say to unzip "the archive". Which file is that: ADM-TISPE-r53616-V4.1.2.zip? - which contains the .war file? Should the .war be copied to the above path? Do I need tomcat6? What am I missing? Guess I need some guidance.

Hi,
Yes, unzip the archive file ADM-TISPE-r53616-V4.1.2.zip and then copy the .war file into /data/var/lib/tomcat5/webapps. Talend support both tomcat5 and tomcat6, well we recommend you to use tomcat6.

Thanks. That worked great.

Now the instructions say to edit /etc/default/tomcat6 which I obviously don't have. How do I handle this (on Tomcat5)? There is no /etc/default/tomcat5 either.

Also, can you tell me what the <application_path> may look like for connecting to the Admin Center?

as in http://IP_ADDR:8080/<application_path>

Have a look at /etc/init.d/tomcat6.

It is the name of Talend war, org.talend.administrator.war by default,
http://IP_ADDR:8080/org.talend.administrator

Of course, you can rename the Talend war before copying it into <TomcatPath>/webapps/.
