Hi all,

I followed the installation instruction and just successfully installed the Talend Open Studio for Data Integration (5.0.2). Then I tried to do the first SayHello demo. The first step is to create a service called SayHelloService. But after I opened the studio and created a new project SayHello, I couldn't see the Service icon in the Repository panel. Please see the attached image of my studio. I don't know what's wrong. Could anybody help me out? Thanks in advance.

Where do you create the service? If you open a new project, there are not any items yet, it is normal.

Hi Shong,

I mean there is no Service icon in the Repository panel. Please see the image. I just followed the GettingStarted tutorial. Maybe the tutorial is out of date.

Hi Shong,

I remembered that after I downloaded the Talend ESB, it prompted a window for downloading the full documentation. The tutorial is in the zip folder. And demo is in Chapter 5 of Talend_ESB_GettingStarted_UG_50b_EN.pdf.
