Hi everybody,

I have this problem with the Generation Engine Initialization in Progress. It says that an internal error occurred.

because of that I cannot run any jobs anymore.

I had to reinstall my system, thus I backed up my workspace folder, then after reinstallation I installed talend again (same version, 5.0) and pointed to the workspace I backed up. I can see the jobs but the generation engine fails. error is java.lang.NullPointerException

actually I even do not know whether the problem comes from my workspace or not : I tried to create a blank workspace, and it does not work either : it runs eternally to initialize the generation engine.

Is this a problem with installation ? Talend Studio runs on Windows 7 virtualized

Hi

Please show us the error log. We need to find the root reason.

Hi,

I finally found a workaround: I created a new blank workspace, and used the import tool (the "import from the workspace feature) to recover my old projet (fortunately !)
