How can i improve the performance

Tags: [database, delimited file, mssql, PostgreSQL]

Hi,

   I use tMSSQLInput  component and query data from MSSQL, and write the query result to disk file, 
i have one column type is text, it let the performance is very slowly when is start the job,
need query about nine million records

Server info: Inter(R) Xeon(R) CPU X5670 @2.93GHz 2.93GHz  2.00GHz of RAM

How can i improve the performance?

How long does your sql statement run when running it outside Talend?

Cast as varchar(2000), that's one hell of a long field!
