TIS Migration from 3.2 to 5.1

Hi,
We would like to migrate our TIS to the last version (v 5.1) on a new host, i've just many questions on compatibility and procedure :
Is it possible to migrate TIS from a 32 bits OS to a 64 bits OS ?
Is it possible to migrate Talend on a other host and not doing an in-place migration ?
All is possible, but after reading documentation i don't have a correct procedure.
I think install a new host with Talend 5.1 and after export the projects, but i don't know how to export project, and if it will be compatible with the new version.
Can you help me ? Have you ever done it ?

Thanks for your answers and have a nice day !

Hi Bruno

Welcome to Talend Community!

Yes. All these questions are possible. In theory, there won't be any compatible issues with the new version.

We once migrated from one minor version to another, the result was two days of not being able to work. I wouldn't do it.

Re: TIS Migration from 3.2 to 5.1

Hi Bruno

The only way for migration projects is to export items and import items, which could avoid compatible issues in theory.

Pedro

Bruno,

We are in the same situation you are.  What did you decide to do regarding the migration vs import/export?  Would love to know what your experience has been.

Thanks
