How do I remove windows in Editor Area or Reset environment?

I'm not able to remove certain windows in the Editor Area and on a couple of occasions trying to remove them has created more. Please see screenshot.

Can someone please tell me how to remove these as they significantly reduce my editing area when I'm editing a job?

If not, can someone please tell me how to reset my environment so that it appears the way it looked the first time I ever used Talend?

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

This is my first time posting to this forum and unfortunately I must also be missing a step to upload the image...which is very essential to this issue.

Please let me know what I need to do in order to upload the image.

To upload images I think you need at least 10 posts and then you need to use the "Post reply" link rather than "Quick post".

To answer your original question, for a permanent reset try right-clicking on the perspective link as per the screen-print.

For a temporary increase in view space (also in screen-print), just double-click on the tab for the area you want expanded.  There are also a number of drag-and-drop or right-click options for each tab.

I had this problem. I found that closing Talend and then reopening it reset the windows. While I had the problem new windows kept appearing and couldn't be removed during a session.

Re: How do I remove windows in Editor Area or Reset environment?

Thanks all - I needed to work on a time sensitive project and so I ended up uninstallling and reinstalling the client - which fixed my issue.

@Alevy - Thanks I will try your suggestion if I run into the issue again - I never thought of right-clicking the perspective link.

@janhess - Thanks - however I tried closing and reopening talend several times and it did not correct the issue - even after restarting the machine.
