Re: Connection to Oracle

Talking about the tDB* components, the Oracle connection is made with DBD::Oracle driver, no "thin" driver in Perl.

Re: Connection to Oracle

Oracle was not available yet in the beta version.

This will be available in Talend 1.0.0

Re: Connection to Oracle

I understand that we don't have an ORA driver within talend*  but...

I was able to see the ORA table structure and was able to estabilish DB connections to ORACLE.  However, when I tried to execute the process to convert the table to XML file, it keeps on running but not outputing anything in the target xml file.  Why?  Please help!

Starting process testing at 16:48 02/10/2006.

How do you configure your tDBInput? what is the database type you select?

Re: Connection to Oracle

For DB type I selected mysql but the host, port, database, user name and password are all ORACLE information.

Re: Connection to Oracle

I have installed RC1.  Used ORACLE SID as the driver for the DB Connection.  I was able to create schema based on the tables availabe from the database.  However, I was not able to successfully convert the DB data to fiels.  I got the following errors.

install_driver(Oracle) failed: Can't locate DBD/Oracle.pm in @INC (@INC contains: C:\Data\TOS-Win32-20061002-2251-RC1\plugins\org.talend.designer.codegen.perlmodule_0.9.0.20061002-2251-RC1\perl\ C:\Data\TOS-Win32-20061002-2251-RC1\workspace\.Perl C:/Perl/site/lib C:/Perl/lib .) at (eval 7) line 3.
Perhaps the DBD::Oracle perl module hasn't been fully installed,
or perhaps the capitalisation of 'Oracle' isn't right.
Available drivers: DBM, ExampleP, File, Proxy, SQLite, Sponge.
at C:\Data\TOS-Win32-20061002-2251-RC1\workspace\.Perl\FIRST.process_testing.pl line 469

Am I missing some drivers?  Thanks.

Re: Connection to Oracle

Nevermind.  I got it.  I need to install DBD ORACLE via ppm.
