Updating few rows in a very large table

Hello,
I have created a delta load using Talend.
Everything is working fine except updating the columns seems to take forever.
In tPostresqlOutput I am using 'Update' in Action on data.
The table to be updated has more than 7 million rows but I am updating only 500 rows but still it is taking too much time.
Is there a way to fix this issue?
I might be updating even bigger tables later so this is a big problem for me.
Wrong forum.
How can I delete this post?

Re: Updating few rows in a very large table

Hi,
Could you please give us more information about your issue? Is there any error message when you check out option "die on error" on  tPostgresqlOutput component?
Best regards
Sabrina

Re: Updating few rows in a very large table

It was just that update of rows are very slow.
What I used in this case was put the updated rows in a temp table and update the target table from this temp.
This was very fast.
