[resolved] New user ~ using TOP to compare two different MySQL schemas

Tags: [oracle, schema]

Hi, I have an interest in being able to use TOP to profile data between different tables. Is this possible?

Hi Andrew,

What do you mean precisely?
Currently, TOP does not allow yet to compare tables. Profiling is done mainly on columns, but you can profile columns from several tables at the same time. But I don't think this is what you want.

We are now thinking about what will be in the next release. Maybe you could explain in more details what is your need and fill a feature request at http://www.talendforge.org/bugs/my_view_page.php

Thank you for your response Sebastiao. What my user means is the ability to do "whats in table A but not in table B" type queries and to identify duplicate column values etc.

Hi Andrew,

This feature should be in the next release (end of this year). The associated bugtracker issue is [Bug] 5322
You may have a look at it and tell us if we are missing something.
