Re: import/export patterns

Hi stan,

1. It is not possible to export your pattern in the current (1.1.0) version. It will be possible in the next release. See [Bug] 5259

2. The format of the file is described in the help panel of the import wizard. See screenshot

The file format is the following:

    * C1: Label: the label of the pattern (must not be empty)
    * C2: Purpose: the purpose of the pattern (can be empty)
    * C3: Description: the description of the pattern (can be empty)
    * C4: Regular expression: the regular expression applicable to all databases (can be empty)
    * C5: MySQL Regexp: the regular expression applicable to MySQL databases (can be empty)
    * C6: Oracle Regexp: the regular expression applicable to Oracle databases (can be empty)
    * C7: Author: the author of the regular expression (can be empty)

Note that each regular expression must be enclosed in single quotes.

Re: import/export patterns

Thank for your information but sorry I have no new patterns after my import (and no message about good or bad execution).

Is C1 the first column in the xls file, C2 the second one and so on ?

I try this in my xls file :
F1    F1    F1    '^([0-9]{5})|([9]([7][1-6]|[8][5-8])[0-9]{3})$'        '^([0-9]{5})|([9]([7][1-6]|[8][5-8])[0-9]{3})$'

and nothing happens.

(and nothing else about import in the help ...!?!)

thanks

Re: import/export patterns

I have tried to import your line and I found indeed a few bugs:

1. The first line is always skipped (probably because considered as header)
2. The last column must not be empty (put an author)

Try again with these two constraints, please. It should work.

Re: import/export patterns

Thanks ! It's OK.

All fields seem to be mandatory.
I put this and it works :
F1    F2    F3    F4    F5    F6    F7
F1    F2    F3    ^([0-9]{5})|([9]([7][1-6]|[8][5-8])[0-9]{3})$'    ^([0-9]{5})|([9]([7][1-6]|[8][5-8])[0-9]{3})$'    ^([0-9]{5})|([9]([7][1-6]|[8][5-8])[0-9]{3})$'    F7

=> 2 lines

Note that the first quote : ' must be missed in the regexp definition because the tool adds one (!?!)

Re: import/export patterns

Thanks for your feedback.
I have tried with an empty column 6 (the column before the last column), it was ok.

about the quote, it is strange indeed. It can be reported as a bug.
also the fact that you did not get any error message is also a bug.

This functionality will be replaced in the next version: [Bug] 5260
But you can nevertheless report these bugs if you want to see them fixed in the next 1.1.1 maintenance release.
