Master Data Management has gained a strong momentum in the last few years. I spent the last few months putting together a small practical book on Talend Open Studio for Master Data Management. This book should give people unfamiliar with the topic and the tool an easy starting point as it walks you through several hands-on tutorials. The book available online here: http://diethardsteiner.blogspot.co.uk/2 … ement.html

Indeed, your book is a great contribution for the community.
So good, that I've "stuck" this post on the forum so nobody misses it
The 2nd edition is out now! Updated to work with the recently released version 5.4. I also added 2 new tutorials. You can download the small book from here:

Let me know what you think about!
Good thing. But I can't access ur link (... from China). Bad luck.
Can have other way to read your book? Hope it, thanks.
Thank you for getting back to us. After researching, it seems as though Google Docs, that hosts the book, is not available in China. Maybe you could use an alternate connection solution to access this resource? Or maybe diddy can PDF it?
I also wanted to take this opportunity to thank Diethard for his contributions and for updating his book to a second edition.
I am new to talend MDM. Your starter guide is very helpful. Thank you!
I followed every step till Export data from the MDM server (page 41). Somehow I could not connect the LensIn metadata (tMDMInput) with my DB schema output (which is a tELTOracleOutput). I could not link them together. It seems like the two components are not compatible to each other. I could not figure out what I did wrong. I stuck and could not move forward any more.
Could you please help?
